BENEFITS OF A SOLAR DTU

When it comes to installing distributed PV power plants, convenience is key. Installers on site prefer a convenient, local way to view microinverters rather than connecting to the internet on a laptop.

That’s why Hoymiles developed a mobile application for monitoring accounts, featuring a physical layout guide for the installation of microinverters. This app helps installers configure accounts rapidly and provides power generation data on both plant-level and module-level. It also provides detailed alarm information for commission and diagnostics, as well as functionality to export and remotely control your RS-485 port.

INSTALLATION & GETTING ONLINE: STEPS FOR THE S-MILES INSTALLER APP
  1. Download the S-Miles Installer app on the App Store or Google Play.
  2. View the list of your sites, or add a site via the O&M screen.
  3. Go into Wi-Fi and select the DTU Wi-Fi.
  4. Access the Network Config to select the Wi-Fi or Ethernet options to send to your DTU to connect to the customer’s Wi-Fi or Ethernet.

Once the app is installed, navigate to Overview to see your connected and online status under Cloud Communication. You can also view Power Generation and Control, Micro Status and other detailed information about the microinverters connected to your system.
