VAN METER INC. RETURN POLICY FOR ONLINE SALES

The following Return Policy applies to all goods, products and supplies purchased through Van Meter Inc.’s (“Van Meter”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) website or mobile application (“Materials”). We reserve the right to modify this Return Policy at any time and for any reason. We will alert you to any such change by updating the “Last updated” date set forth above. The Return Policy, as in effect at the time an order for Materials is submitted, will govern the return of such Materials.

CONDITIONS APPLICABLE TO ALL RETURNS

Except as provided below for Material shipped by Van Meter in error, whether a refund or credit will be granted for returned Material will be determined by Van Meter in its sole discretion.

For Material to qualify for a refund or credit (less the restocking and other charges outlined below):

  • Customer must submit a return request on our website at vanmeterinc.com and provide Van Meter with original order number, purchase date and specific reason for return;
  • Van Meter must issue authorization in writing prior to return;
  • Material must be unused, in original packaging (if applicable) and in saleable condition; free of customer labels or writing on the boxes or product; and
  • Material must be returned within six (6) months of purchase.
  • Non-Stock items are subject to vendor approval.

Any Material that has been modified or altered in any way, for which no record of purchase can be provided or that otherwise fails to satisfy the conditions set forth herein is non-returnable and non-refundable and, if returned, is subject to being returned to you at your expense.

Shipping. Unless customer and Van Meter arrange for pick-up by Van Meter, customer is responsible for delivering returned Material to the location specified by Van Mater. Van Meter reserves the right to charge for pick-up services.

Unauthorized Returns. Any and all Material that is returned without prior written authorization from Van Meter will be held and your Van Meter Account Manager contacted for disposition. Unauthorized returns are subject to being returned to you at your expense.

Title/Risk of Loss. Van Meter does not take title to or assume the risk of loss of returned Material until the returned Material has been delivered to the location specified by Van Mater. Customer shall retain the risk of loss for all Material returned to Van Meter without Van Meter’s prior written authorization and for all returned Material that does not satisfy the conditions set forth herein.

SPECIFIC CONDITIONS & CHARGES

In addition to the general conditions and requirements set forth above:

STOCK MATERIAL

All stock material will be subject to a restock fee.

NON-STOCK AND SPECIAL ORDERS MATERIAL
  • All non-stock returns must have previous authorization from the factory. The amount of restocking charges will be determined from the factory upon acceptance. A handling and restocking charge, plus all freight costs will apply. (minimum 10%).
  • The following Materials are non-returnable and non-refundable:
    • Made-to-order Material; and
    • Wire cuts.
ROCKWELL AUTOMATION

Product returned must adhere to the conditions for new product returns or may be refused or received without credit issued.

Conditions for new product returns:

  • New product, current series in resaleable condition.
  • Not used/no power applied; not installed.
  • Boxes must be unopened.
  • No physical damage to the product or original packaging.
  • If product is factory sealed, seal must be intact, not tampered with or broken.
  • Free of any non-Rockwell Automation stickers, tape, or labeling.
  • No writing on the box with pen or marker.
  • In original carton with all packaging, accessories, carton inserts, including protective electrostatic discharge bags and coverings.
  • Must be in delivery unit quantity.
  • If a ‘consists-of’ product, all components must be returned complete and unopened.
WARRANTY AND DEFECTIVE MATERIAL
  • Customer or salesperson must advise Van Meter of the nature of defect.
  • Credit will be issued based on the terms and warranty of the manufacturer. Some products are “Repair Only” and/or “Exchange Only” under warranty and may not be returned for credit.
VAN METER ERRORS or Direct Shipped Damaged Items

Van Meter must be made aware of any Material that has been shipped in error within 30 days of its receipt. Returns of this nature identified in excess of 30 days from receipt are contingent upon the approval of a Van Meter Returns Specialist.

All items that have been shipped directly to the customer and received damaged will be the responsibility of the customer to report damage and file a freight claim with the delivering freight company.
