Need 1100’ of rope but only have two 600’ ropes? Don’t want to stop your wire pull once the clevis gets to the capstan? Southwire’s QWIKrope Links are braided links that can connect two eyed pulling ropes together for more flexibility in the field. Instead of using your metal swivel clevis to connect them, check out the QWIKrope Links soft shackles.
SAVE TIME WITH A MORE CONTINUOUS WIRE PULL
Without QWIKrope links, connecting two wire pulling ropes together requires attaching a metal swivel clevis to a pulling head. In that scenario, when the metal swivel clevis comes out of the pipe and gets to the capstan of the wire tugger, you would need to stop the tugger and call a few people over. Those people would all have to pull the rope out far enough to get it wrapped around the capstan and resume your wire pull. With the QWIKrope Links, there is no need to stop the tugger, as the links can travel around the capstan without issue, and it doesn’t take extra people to complete.
REDUCE THE RISK OF INJURY FROM PULLING WIRE
How can a simple loop of rope improve jobsite safety? When wire pulling takes less effort, it lessens strain on your workforce and reduces the risk of injury. Manually pulling rope is strenuous enough that it takes multiple people to pull the rope out far enough to get it back on the capstan of your wire tugger. With QWIKrope Links, the tugger does all the work, so you don’t have to use any manual force to pull a rope out.
