Maintain your electrical license by taking advantage of convenient electrical CEU courses at Van Meter
If you’re like most electrical contractors, keeping up on Iowa electrical CEUs is something that often falls to the bottom of the to-do list.
Once you have your electrical license, the Iowa Department of Public Safety requires you to earn 18 CEUs every three years – with at least six continuing education units (CEUs) focused on the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Many times, electricians wait until the very last minute to get this done, leaving a month or two to wrap up three years’ worth of continuing education. This not only creates unnecessary stress, but may also require you to travel several hundred miles to attend the classes you need if none are available nearby.
To help you stay proactive and ahead of requirements, Van Meter provides Iowa electrical CEU courses and sends regular notifications about education offerings. We’ll help you find the courses you want, enroll, and earn the CEUs and documentation you need.
In addition to covering the latest NEC standards, we also create courses focused on topics you tell us you want to learn more about, including things like OSHA, arc flash, automation, and motor control. Our content and instructors are approved by the Iowa Department of Public Safety’s Electrical Examining Board to provide education across Iowa.
Beyond our scheduled courses throughout the year, we can also customize CEU content to your business, your employees, and the equipment you use – and bring electrical education to you to reduce time spent away from the jobsite.
