Did you know it only takes five minutes to overcome labor shortages and bridge your skills gaps while improving safety, productivity and flexibility?
It’s true. A beRobox robotic palletizing solution can overcome your palletizing challenges, and it only takes five minutes to set up. There is no programming, robot calibration or technical skill needed. Watch how easy it is to set up or follow our step-by-step guide below.
STEP 1: ROLL THE ROBOTIC PALLETIZER INTO PLACE & SUPPLY POWER
The beRobox robotic palletizer is a complete palletizing solution consisting of a Doosan collaborative robot (cobot), conveyor, HMI (Human Machine Interface) and palletizing software. It all rolls on casters, so it is easy to maneuver into place or redeploy to a new location. Once you have it positioned, you can lock the casters in place, turn the power switch on and turn on the air supply required by the cobot’s gripper.
The casters make the robotic palletizer easy to maneuver and lock in place.
STEP 2: PUT THE PALLET INTO POSITION
You will not be able to palletize until you position your pallet next to the robotic palletizer. It has sensors and limit switches to locate the pallet and verify that it is in the right position. You will know it is in the right place when the indicator light on the palletizer turns green.
STEP 3: HIT RESET TO ENABLE YOUR COLLABORATIVE ROBOT
Once your palletizer is powered on, you should see a “servo off” status on the HMI. Hit the blue reset button to engage the robot’s servo motors. While in an “off” status, your Doosan cobot should be glowing red. Once the servo motors are engaged, the cobot should change from glowing red to blue and white.
Your cobot should change from glowing red to white once it is enabled.
STEP 4: ENTER BOX & PALLET DIMENSIONS
Before you can start palletizing you have to enter the box and pallet dimensions into the HMI following these steps:
- Select ‘New’ to create a new product.
- Choose metric or imperial units in the bottom right.
- Enter your box length, width, height and weight under measurements.
- Name your product (under Configuration name), so you can re-use your configuration.
- Press ‘Next’ in the bottom right to advance to your pallet dimensions.
- Choose between standard pallet sizes or enter custom dimensions.
- Press ‘Automatic Pallet’ to view optimized pallet layouts the system generates and choose the type you want.
- Add or remove layers to your pallet.
- Press ‘Save’ to save your configuration.
STEP 5: ACTIVATE YOUR CONFIGURATION
Once you are back to the HMI home screen, choose the configuration you just created under ‘Product selection’ and press activate. Now, you’re ready to start palletizing.
STEP 6: PRESS START TO BEGIN PALLETIZING
When you press the green start button, your cobot should move into position to pick a box. Once it is fed a box, it will pick it up and place it on the pallet according to the configuration you just created. You can track how many boxes have been picked on the HMI, and if a box is damaged, you can remove the box, adjust the count on the HMI and resume picking to replace the box you removed.
The conveyor is angled so the box is always in the right position to pick
When the pallet is complete, the indicator light on the robotic palletizer will flash yellow. Once you remove the pallet and replace it with a new one, it will resume palletizing, or if you have an empty pallet on the other side of the completed pallet, the cobot will start palletizing on the other side.
