STEEL BRAIDED CABLE PULLING GRIPS

Steel braided pulling grips (or ‘Chinese fingers’) have been an industry standard for a long time, and they work great for helping you pull wire through conduit or pull it back out without damaging the wire. The steel wire mesh gives you a secure grip on the wire, and they are staggered to help you navigate 90-degree bends when pulling wire through conduit. You can use these pulling grips on new or pre-existing wire installations. The downside is that you have to slightly upsize your conduit to allow enough clearance for the cups on the end of these pulling grips.

  •  Offer a secure grip on your cable
  •  Can be used for new or pre-existing wire installations
  •  Staggered to help you navigate 90-degree bends pulling wire through conduit
  •  Must upsize conduit
  •  Must be applied in the field
FACTORY INSTALLED PULLING HEADS

Factory installed pulling heads come pre-installed on your cable, so you don’t have to spend time installing pulling heads in the field. They also eliminate knives on your jobsite, so you don’t have to risk cuts and injuries from stripping wire and creating your own pulling heads.

Everyone who installs Southwire factory installed pulling heads must be certified by Southwire once a year because Southwire warranties these pulling heads. If one of your factory installed pulling heads pops off, Southwire will pay you to replace the wire and pull wire through conduit again.

Southwire’s factory installed pulling heads are also staggered, so you have plenty of clearance navigating 90-degree bends when pulling wire through conduit. The crimp is the same size as the jacket, so you don’t need to tape or cover the pulling heads as you are pulling wire through conduit. All you have to do is connect your clevis to the rope and start your pull.

  •   No field installation required
  •   Come pre-installed on your cable
  •   No tape or cover required to pull wire through conduit
  •   Eliminate knives to improve safety
  •   Warrantied by Southwire
  •   Staggered to help you navigate 90-degree bends pulling wire through conduit
  •   Won’t help with pre-existing wire installations
