OPTION 1
SOUTHWIRE SIMPULL REEL
Looking for a solution that will make even your longest, most difficult wire pulls simple? Plan A is Southwire’s SIMpull Reel. With independently rotating inner and outer wheels, one person can maneuver a 5,000-pound reel by themselves. The SIMpull reel fits through standard 36-inch doorways and eliminates the need for pallet jacks and other heavy equipment.
Key Features:
✔ Stack multiple runs on one reel.
✔ Eliminates the need for jackstands.
✔ Reduces reel setup time.
✔ Fits through any standard 36” door.
✔ Safely moves up to 5,000 pounds with just one person.
✔ Inner and outer wheels rotate independently.
OPTION 2
COMPARTMENT REEL
If you have a more basic wire pull and want to use something you are familiar with, option B might be a compartment reel. Compartment reels have four separate compartments with a free-spinning ground wire. They come with casters, so you can easily move them around the jobsite.
Key Features:
✔ Four separate compartments with a free-spinning ground.
✔Maneuvers on casters for more jobsite mobility.
OPTION 3
SOUTHWIRE SIMPULL FLANGE
If you want something you can keep on your jobsite and re-use for multiple wire pulls, you should consider the Southwire SIMpull Flange. Setting up and maneuvering heavy wooden spools is a lot of work and takes time. The SIMpull flange has independently rotating flanges to make it easy for one person to maneuver a wooden reel up to 2,000 pounds. The flange is field installable and reusable, and it eliminates the need to handle heavy jack stands.
Key Features:
✔ 2,000-pound capacity.
✔ Independently rotating flanges.
✔ Eliminates the need for jackstands.
✔ Easy to install in the field.
✔ Re-usable for multiple wire pulls.
OPTION 4
STANDARD WOOD SPOOL
If you just need the most basic option for a simple wire pull, you can order your wire on a standard wooden spool. This allows you to stack multiple runs onto one reel. The plastic protective wrap comes with Southwire’s Rip CHIP™ system to make removing the packaging safer and more efficient.
Key Feature:
✔ Stack multiple runs on one reel.
OPTION 5
A FRAME
Finally, if you’re pulling wire that is too large and heavy for the other reels to hold, the A Frame is sturdy enough to handle your most extreme wire pulls. It can hold up to 10,000 pounds.
Key Feature:
✔ Holds large spools with weight capacity up to 10,000 pounds.
