Van Meter ranks as the 15th largest electrical distributor in the United States according to the 2023 Electrical Wholesaling Top 150.
Electrical Wholesaling’s annual listing of the 150 largest distributors of electrical supplies is an in-depth ranking of the largest players in the electrical market based on the previous year’s revenues. It is a look into which companies are growing fastest, making acquisitions and investing in their companies.
Van Meter has moved up a spot from the 2022 Top 150 list when it was ranked 16th. Where is Van Meter continuing to grow? In addition to its long-time business in Iowa, Van Meter is growing awareness and offering innovative services in its newer locations in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Omaha, Kansas City and Huntsville, AL.
How will Van Meter continue to grow looking forward? The company recently announced it is opening a new solar distribution facility in Milan, Illinois, to more effectively house inventory and support solar projects in the Midwest.
Founded in 1928, Van Meter is celebrating its 95th anniversary this year. It started as a single location in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and now has over 825 employee-owners in 25 locations across eight states.
